WORCESTER, MASS. (WHDH) - Snow began to pick in Worcester Monday afternoon and continue into the evening, as the city is expected to see heavy snofall.
Worcester officials announced a parking ban Monday morning and closed city buildings in the afternoon.
The area is expected to receive more than a foot of snow and crews are saying they are having trouble keeping up.
“It just needs to get clean up,” plow driver Jay Johnson said.

City officials say more than 360 pieces of equipment are being used during the storm and COVID-19 is having no impact on staffing.
While many are used to big snowfalls in Worcester, they hope it doesn’t stick around.
“It’s going to be a long day, a little too long for me,” Johnson said. “It is what it is. I’m just done. I want it to end, bring in the heat.”
